Todd’s success is attributed to his commitment to physicians pursuing their life’s purpose, achieving and maintaining their desired work-life balance and leaving a legacy through the patients and communities they serve.

Observing the challenges facing doctors in balancing their career and lives, Todd created the Balance Life Institute to study, aggregate content, bring together subject matter experts, and build resources and programs to address gaps in job selection, salary negotiations, finance, relationships and career decisions.

In 2008, Todd launched Adventures In Medicine as a unique platform and model to bring the very best Career and Life Planning content to Residents, Physicians and Fellows, and Residency Programs while providing leading Physician Employers and best-of-class services providers a proven and cost-effective access to interface and build deep relationships with candidates and clients.  Since inception, over 110,000 work and guide books have been distributed and received by last year residents and physicians.  Thousands more turn to Adventures In Medicine online resources and social properties for the content and resources they need to navigate their career and lives in medicine.

Dan joins Todd to architect and deliver the digital media strategies for Adventures In Medicine and collaborated on the vision to launch the Physician Employer Directory, license the Physician Career Planning library and leverage rich media platforms to deliver the content, resources, employers and service providers to the community of Residents, Physicians and Fellows.

Kathryn  Peisert is responsible for all Governance Institute publications, both in print and online, which number more than 150 publications, as well  as DVD/video programs, webinars, and e-learning courses.  She works closely with the Governance Advisors and Governance Institute faculty to ensure that members receive timely and accurate information to help arm them for better decision making in the boardroom.  Kathryn is also a classically trained flutist and performs private recitals and concerts around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Iris Grimm

Raised in a family of physicians, Iris Grimm understands the difficulties of balancing a personal life while maintaining the dedication and hard work needed to build a thriving medical practice. Her personal experience, along with degrees in business management, communication, corporate and personal coaching, led her to create The Balanced Physician Program.  She provides individual and group coaching programs, as well as workshops and presentations to thousands of physicians on topics such as work-life balance, leadership, effective communication and physician wellness. Her advice has appeared in numerous medical publications including American Medical News.  When not training people, she trains dogs and enjoys hiking in the mountains with her own dogs.

John Dawes

She is past president and board member emeritus of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and was editor-in-chief of AILA’s second and third editions of Immigration Options for Physicians.
